Industrial Painter Training – Silver Course Guide

This guide explains Dangle Academy’s Industrial Painter Training – Silver package, including who it is for, how the Silver route works, what delegates learn, assessment, certification and progression into the full Gold pathway.

Delivered from our Belfast training centre, the Silver package is designed for delegates who want to build on foundation industrial painter training and progress into either abrasive blasting and surface preparation or spray painting.

The Silver package includes the Bronze foundation training before delegates complete one specialist Silver route. Delegates can choose either abrasive blasting and surface preparation or spray painting, depending on the practical skills required for their role, employer or project environment.

How the Silver Package Works

Industrial Painter Training – Silver is a flexible intermediate package for delegates who want to progress beyond foundation-level industrial painting.

The course starts with the Bronze foundation training, covering industrial painting awareness, surface preparation principles, brush and roller application, PPE, safety, coating awareness and good working practice.

Delegates then choose one specialist Silver route:

Abrasive Blasting and Surface Preparation

Spray Painting

This structure allows employers and delegates to choose the route that best matches the work being carried out on site. Those who need both blasting and spraying should consider the full Industrial Painter Training – Gold pathway.

Choose Your Silver Route

MASTER MORE ADVANCED COATING SKILLS

Why Silver-Level Training Matters

Site-Ready Skills

Silver training helps delegates understand how coating work is carried out safely and consistently on site.

It supports better preparation, equipment awareness and working discipline before moving into more specialised coating tasks

Fewer Coating Defects

Poor preparation or incorrect application can lead to coating failure, rework and unnecessary project costs. This training helps delegates recognise why surface condition, coating control and good working practice matter.

Employer Confidence

Silver-level training gives employers clearer evidence that delegates have completed structured industrial painter training. It supports safer task allocation, stronger supervision and more consistent standards across painting, blasting or spraying work.

Develop Site-Ready Coating Competence

Silver-level training helps delegates understand what good coating work looks like before, during and after application.

The focus is on practical decision-making: preparing surfaces correctly, using equipment safely, recognising common coating issues and working to a consistent standard on site. For employers, this supports better task allocation, reduced avoidable rework and stronger confidence in day-to-day industrial painting activities.

Over this intensive 7 day programme, you’ll train in either Spray Painting or Abrasive Blast Cleaning, building on your Bronze foundation with advanced techniques, environmental controls, and strict quality assurance standards. You’ll use the same professional-grade equipment and materials found on offshore, marine, industrial, and infrastructure projects worldwide.

This isn’t just classroom learning – you’ll be hands-on in our purpose-built indoor training facility, guided by industry experts with years of real-world experience. By the end of the course, you’ll hold your TTP Silver card, recognised internationally and valued by leading employers, giving you access to higher-paying roles, specialist contracts, and progression to the elite TTP Gold qualification.
