Netting Installation

Confined Space Experts

First and foremost our work is about keeping people and infrastructure safe, though we also handle conservation projects in the great outdoors where people don't often gather other than to admire the planet's natural beauty. Our geotechnical and access specialists offer a wide variety of geotechnical and rockfall solutions, including de-vegetation, landslide and rockfall safety works, controlled rock removal and scaling, slope and rock-face stabilisation, soil nailing and rock anchors, as well as inspection and installation of rockfall barriers and netting, catch fences and geo-grid netting installation.

We’re experts in providing geotechnical and rockfall solutions in difficult-to-access and remote locations. From roads to railways, embankments to hillsides, cliffs to riverbanks,  we tackle everything from landslips and rockfalls to precarious boulders and invasive vegetation.

Road and rail networks require constant maintenance too, and Britain’s transport infrastructure combines 21st-century technology with engineering marvels dating back to the Victorian era and beyond. Access can be difficult or limited, and major new developments in the transport network bring new and exciting work at height challenges for rope access. Large-scale civil construction projects like hospitals and stadia, to other major civil engineering works such as bridge installations or bridge maintenance, we safely reach and work where others can’t.

Stadia, power stations, hospitals, factories, and other outdoor complex engineered structures present particular challenges for maintenance and repair work to be undertaken. Using rope access, and other access techniques we’re able to reach and work at just about any location, handling tasks like cleaning and maintenance works. As one of the most experienced working at height specialists in Northern Ireland today, we are trusted by some of the UK’s most important facilities to ensure their infrastructure is kept in the best possible condition.

Engineering Access Solutions

Rigging from a combination of specialist ground anchors and immovable rock formations, our specialist rope access team gain access to the cliffs and steep embankments to remove invasive plant species that are not native to our shores and the roots of which can invade puffin burrows or interfere with bird nesting and breeding.

The environment presented by a suspension bridge is particularly challenging, frequently requiring work to take place above either water or an active carriageway, where the consequences of falls or objects dropped by those engaged in work at height are potentially catastrophic. We have worked with several contractors and Bridge management, developing safe systems of work and rescue, overseen by our L3 IRATA supervisors, ensuring works proceed safely and efficiently.

From sporting arenas to warehouses, universities and hospitals, factories and glasshouses to landmark structures throughout the UK and beyond, we’re ready for the challenge. As well as safety and work at height skills, our specialist capabilities cover a wide variety of operations, maintenance and cleaning works including inspections, glazing, cladding, rigging and lifting, fall protection, and confined space rescue.

Civil Engineering Works

We support a wide range of civil engineering and construction-related works at height using rope access and specialist access methods. Typical scopes include structure inspections, concrete and masonry repairs, façade and chimney access, waterproofing and sealant works, and minor steelwork tasks. Based in Belfast, we work across Northern Ireland with UK mobilisation available for planned projects and shutdown windows.

Erosion Protection

Erosion and weathering can quickly undermine slopes, embankments and exposed structures—especially in coastal and high-wind locations. Our teams assist with erosion protection and remediation such as stabilisation works, targeted repairs, access for inspections, and installation support for protection systems. We focus on safe access, controlled work methods and clear reporting so clients can plan long-term maintenance.

Rock Stabilisation

Where ground conditions present a risk to assets or public safety, we support rock stabilisation and geotechnical access works. This can include safe access for scaling, installation support for stabilisation systems, and maintenance/inspection access on slopes, cuttings and coastal faces. If you’re unsure what’s required, we can start with a site review and recommend the safest access approach for surveys and remedial works.

  • What is rope access and when is it suitable for civils work?

Rope access is a safe method of working at height using ropes and specialist equipment, often reducing disruption compared with scaffolding or MEWPs. It’s suitable for inspections, minor repairs, access for surveys, and hard-to-reach areas—always subject to a site-specific assessment.

  • Do you install masonry anchors for rope access?

Yes. We can install masonry anchor points on suitable structures (such as chimney stacks and gable ends) to create safe rope access systems for ongoing inspection and maintenance. Anchor selection and installation method depend on the substrate and design requirements.

  • Can you work on chimneys, gables and exterior building fabric?

Yes. We routinely access chimney stacks, parapets, gables and façades for inspection, defect reporting and minor repair works. We can also provide safe access for other trades where specialist reach is required.

  • Do you support geotechnical and rock stabilisation work?

We support geotechnical and stabilisation scopes by providing safe access on slopes, cuttings and difficult terrain—including access for surveys, scaling, installation support and inspection/maintenance. If you’re unsure what’s needed, we can help plan the access approach for the initial assessment.

  • What areas do you cover?

We’re based in Belfast and work primarily across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, with UK mobilisation available depending on project scope and programme requirements.
