This Train the Painter (TTP) Marine Coating Applicator training course is the paint training module for those looking to work specifically in the marine and offshore environments. It covers all the essential painting knowledge required prior to stepping offshore. This is in addition to TTP Bronze essential practical training that applies all the key skills and builds upon that throughout the Train the Painter Marine Coating Applicator, to put your hard work into a practical offshore marine setting.

What's Train the Painter?

Train the Painter is an internationally recognised training programme which is accredited and approved by The Society for Protective Coatings - SSPC. Recently SSPC combined with NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) to form AMPP (Association of Materials Protection & Performance) now the worlds largest global community of corrosion and protective coatings professionals.

The training has been developed by paint industry experts in response to the strong demand for certification within the industrial coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the road, rail, renewables and oil and gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.

SSPC Train the Painter has three modules including;

Protective Coatings Applicator (mandatory Bronze, Silver and Gold levels available)

Abrasive Blast Cleaner

Spray Painter

Marine Coating Course Prerequisites

In order to attend and complete the Train the Painter - Marine Coatings Applicator modules delegates must;

• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold at least a bronze Train the Painter

Career Path of SSPC Train the Painter

• Route to Bronze card - You must complete the Protective Coatings Applicator training course.

• Route to Silver card - You must complete the Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner OR Spray Painter training.
  

• Route to Gold card - You must complete the Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner AND Spray Painter training.
