  • Be at least 18 years old
  • Have a reasonable level of physical fitness to operate blasting equipment safely
  • Be free from any medical conditions that could affect safety in a blasting or workshop environment
  • Wear comfortable, appropriate clothing and sturdy footwear (no open-toe shoes)
  • Be able to understand and follow safety instructions in English

  • What does the course involve and how long does it last?

    This hands-on training spans approximately 2 days as a standalone module. Alternatively if its booked as a Industrial Painter silver package, combining protective coating application, health and safety instruction, best practices for abrasive handling, equipment setup, and quality control in line with SSPC and industry standards then typically the course duration can last 7 days.  

  • Is prior experience required to enroll?

    Basic physical fitness and attention to safety protocols are essential. While prior experience helps, typically 800 hours of sandblasting, it’s not mandatory—this course welcomes beginners and experienced practitioners alike.

  • What certification will I receive and is it valid long-term?

    On completion, delegates earn an  Dangle Academy certificate, valid for 5 years. Renewal requires a refresher course and re-assessment through Dangle Academy.
