What Does “Dangle” Mean?
A name rooted in rope access, rescue and work at height
The word “dangle” means to hang or be suspended freely. For us, the name is simple, memorable and closely connected to the work we do. Rope access technicians, rescue teams, wind technicians and work-at-height professionals all operate in environments where suspension, control and trust matter.
At Dangle, the name represents more than being on a rope. It reflects our approach to training and specialist services: controlled movement, safe systems, practical skill and confidence at height. With 15 years in oil, gas and renewables, Simon brings technical and operational experience to Dangle. He combines corrosion expertise, industry know-how and leadership to support training and specialist services.
Sophie
Office Manager
Sophie keeps Dangle running smoothly, managing operations and administration with care and efficiency. Her organisation, attention to detail and support help keep the training and services teams on track each day.
David
Lead Instructor
David brings extensive rope access experience to Dangle Academy, combining practical knowledge with a clear teaching style. He focuses on safety, skill development and building confidence in every student trained.
Bruce
Technical Authority
Bruce is Dangle’s go-to technical expert, bringing 35 years of industry experience. His problem-solving approach helps ensure complex work is planned well and delivered safely, efficiently and to strong standards.
