What the Course Covers
During GWO Basic Safety Training, delegates complete the core safety modules required for work in the wind industry.
The course includes:
- GWO Working at Height — harness use, fall protection, safe movement at height and basic rescue techniques
- GWO First Aid — CPR, AED use, casualty assessment, emergency response and treatment of common injuries
- GWO Fire Awareness — fire risks, prevention, alarm response, evacuation and basic firefighting equipment
- GWO Manual Handling — safer lifting, posture, load assessment and injury prevention
- Practical exercises linked to wind turbine and renewable energy environments
- Safety awareness for working on wind energy sites
- Certification recorded against the delegate’s WINDA profile
It is the participant’s responsibility to complete WINDA registration onboarding before attending any GWO course. You will not be eligible without an active WINDA record. We strongly recommend completing WINDA registration before booking to avoid delays. If a participant fails to meet these pre-requisites, they may be removed from the course and no refund will be issued.
