This one-day taster course is designed for anyone curious about rope access work and becoming a rope access technician, but not yet ready to commit to a full IRATA Rope Access Level 1 entry course. It offers a hands-on introduction to the basics of industrial rope access in a safe, controlled and friendly environment at Dangle Academy in Belfast and is perfect for those considering a new career or simply wanting to try it out and dip their toes.
Participants on our rope access taster session will get a basic feel for the equipment, techniques, and working environments involved in rope access, with no prior experience being required.

Assessment
There is no formal assessment on this course. The focus is on a enjoyable experience and comfortable exposure to being on the ropes rather than testing your skill, done in a safe controlled and friendly environment under the guidance of our expert instructors.
Certification
No formal Certification is offered, although the opportunity to take full advantage of booking onto a Rope Access Level 1 course is available for IRATA certification.
Prerequisites
Must be 18 or over
Reasonably fit and free from medical conditions affecting work at height
No prior rope experience needed
