Rope Access Level 2
Training Duration;
5 Days (Monday - Friday) 1 Day Assesment (Saturday)
Key modules of the Level 2 Rope Access
Course are;
All of the Rope Access Level 1 modules plus;
Legislation, guidelines and standards
Team work and communication
Equipment and rigging including wide 'y' hangs, re-belays, deviations, rope and sling protection, pull-through, tensioned lines, work restraint, horizontal lifelines, anchorage selection
more advanced rescues from height than at Level 1
Attendees completing the IRATARope Access Level 2
training will be able to demonstrate;
Understanding the importance of first aid.
How to carry out first aid safely in accordance with ERC and local guidelines.
An understanding of guidelines set out by IRATA within the ICOP.
Understanding and explaining normal functions, the signs of symptoms of minor/major injury and illness, and appropriate first aid.
Understanding of how to safely apply techniques within a remote environment.
IRATA Rope Access Level 2 Course
Prerequisites
An IRATA Level 1 certificate
A minimum of 1000 hours of experience in rope access work
