GWO ADVANCED RESCUE TRAINING (ART) COURSE

At Dangle's Academy in Belfast, Northen Ireland, we provide comprehensive GWO Advanced Rescue Training (ART) training and many other GWO courses tailored to those working in and around wind turbines and associated sites.

This GWO Advanced Rescue Training module aims to enable those attending how to perform advanced rescue skills correctly and safely, with a particular focus on using them in the wind turbine industry / WTG environment.

The course is a combination of practical and theory training.

• 3 Days

Key modules of the GWO Advanced Rescue Training Course are;

• Hub, spinner and inside blade rescue (Team Rescue HSIBR)
• Nacelle, tower and basement rescue (Team Rescue NTBR)
• Hub, spinner and inside blade rescue (Single Rescuer: HSIBR)
• Nacelle, tower and basement rescue (Single Rescuer: NTBR)

Attendees completing the GWO Advanced Rescue Training will be able to demonstrate;

• Safely access the hub, spinner, inside blade, nacelle, tower and basement section of a wind turbine to get to an injured person
• Perform entry-type casualty rescue operations in a wind turbine generator
• Correctly use industry standards rescue equipment and methods
• Understand and demonstrate rescue techniques that exceed those of GWO Working at Height

• Valid and in-date GWO Working at Height , GWO First Aid and GWO Manual Handling certificates
