At  Dangle Academy  in Belfast, Northern Ireland, we deliver a focused and informative Confined Space Awareness Training Course for workers who may operate in or near confined or restricted spaces. This classroom-based half-day course helps attendees recognise what constitutes a confined space, understand the dangers involved, and follow correct safety protocols in line with the Confined Spaces Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999.
This awareness-level training does not involve physical entry into confined spaces. Making it ideal as an induction or refresher course for operatives and supervisors alike.
Our course introduces legal definitions, real-life risks, and practical control measures based on UK legislation including the Confined Spaces Regulations (Northern Ireland) 1999 and the Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) Order 1978 along other relevant HSE guidance. These regulations place a duty on employers to ensure that work in confined spaces is carried out safely by competent persons and that appropriate training is provided.
This is an introductory awareness course – no prior confined space entry or technical experience is required.
All successful attendees will receive:
🎓 Confined Space Awareness Certificate
Refresher training is advised every 1–3 years depending on workplace risks and individual circumstances.
