What's Train the Painter?
Train the Painter is an internationally recognised training programme which is accredited and approved by Lloyds Register.
The training has been developed by industry experts in response to the strong demand for certification within the industrial coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the road, rail, renewables and oil and gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.
Train the Painter has three modules including;
Protective Coatings Applicator (mandatory Bronze, Silver and Gold levels available)
Delegates will be awarded with either an Orange (trainee), Bronze, Silver or Gold card depending on the modules completed and experience already gained in the protective coatings industry.

THICK FILM INTUMESCENT COATINGS
- This is the fully accredited CSCS , BRE , ASFP Train The Painter applicators course for thick film intumescent coatings.
- Intumescent coatings are applied to steel buildings either on or off site, to prevent structural failure in the event of fire, it is therefore essential that these coatings are applied by trained and qualified coating applicators. Thorough and correct training in Thick Film Intumescent Coating saves time, money and ultimately lives!
- As part of the Globally recognised Train the painter coating applicator training program, this independently accredited training course for Thick Film Intumescent coatings has been developed to meet industry demands.
- This training program has been developed with input from industry experts and associated bodies to create the first and only accredited fire protection coatings course for thick film in the UK. All aspects of surface preparation and application of the products will be taught using both practical and theoretical methods.

- Hours gained can be applied to Bronze, Silver or Gold, Train the Painter Coatings Applicator training.
Please Note
Upon successful completion of the Train The Painter - Thick Film Intumescent modules, delegates will be awarded with a skilled worker (BLUE) 5 year CSCS wallet card.
