What's Train the Painter?
Train the Painter is an internationally recognised training programme which is owned, managed, accredited and approved by Corrodere.
The training has been developed by industry experts in response to the strong demand for certification within the industrial coatings industry that now requires personnel working within the road, rail, renewables and oil and gas industries to obtain professional specified certificates.
Train the Painter has three modules including;
Protective Coatings Applicator (mandatory Bronze, Silver and Gold levels available)
Delegates will be awarded with either an Orange (trainee), Bronze, Silver or Gold card depending on the modules completed and experience already gained in the protective coatings industry.

Course Information
METAL SPRAYING
Thermal metal spraying has long been used in the protective coatings industry, particularly in the oil and gas and ministry of defence sectors for thermal metal treating. This course has been developed to assist in understanding specific types of thermal metal spray and improve the skills of applicators.
The course has been developed and accredited in conjunction with Thermal Spraying & Surface Engineering Association TSSEA and meets the requirement of ISO 14918:2018 thermal spraying qualification testing of thermal sprayers.

Attendees completing the Train the Painter Thermal Metal Spray Paint training will be able to demonstrate;

Thermal Metal Spray Painting Course Prerequisites
- Be at least 18 years old
- Have completed Train the Painter or other approved training programmes
Career Path of Train the Painter
- Route to Bronze card - You must complete the Protective Coatings Applicator training.
- Route to Silver card -
You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND
Abrasive Blast Cleaner OR
Spray Painter training.
- Route to Gold card - You must complete Protective Coatings Applicator AND Abrasive Blast Cleaner AND Spray Painter training.
Please Note
Upon successful completion of the Train The Painter - Thermal Metal Spraying Applicator modules, delegates will be awarded with a TTP ID Card and Certificate lasting 5 years
